As co-founder of BaySide Media, Melanie directs all content and integrated communications plans for its clients. She develops the editorial and business strategies and spearheads client relationships as well as new business opportunities. She also manages the operational aspects of the company.

Prior to BaySide Media, Melanie was content director at AllBusiness, where she was responsible for the information in AllBusiness' small business library and its successful e-mail newsletter program.

Before coming to AllBusiness, Melanie launched TheDeal.com and wrote global business and financial content for The Daily Deal newspaper. She also produced The Deal's Corporate Dealmaker events. Prior to The Deal, Melanie was the founding editor-in-chief of Internet Business magazine at Ziff-Davis and its channel on ZDNet. Also at ZD, Melanie was the general manager of the GII (Global Information Infrastructure) division, where she co-authored The Standard for Internet Commerce and produced the prestigious GII Awards.

A 15-year media veteran, Melanie has written hundreds of articles on business and finance, technology, and Internet communications. She is co-author of the Price Waterhouse Technology Forecast and is also the editor of two books, Networks 2000 and Network Remote Access and Mobile Computing.
