Using the Estimating Tools in QuickBooks Contractor Edition

Creating/Entering Your Estimate

  1. Make sure the estimates feature is turned on.

  2. From the Contractor menu, choose Create Estimates.

  3. Enter the name of the customer or job.

  4. Enter the line items.

  5. Apply sales tax (if applicable).

  6. Enter the class information if you want to track this estimate by location, subsidiary, group, etc.

  7. Click Print.
